Our Research

Molecular Radiobiology and Clinical trials in lymphoma

Projects

Current research and funded studies

Molecular Oncology Research

Investigating on novel therapies in resistant lymphomas, effects of proton beam irradiation in vitro, interaction of irradiation and immunotherapy etc.

Clinical Trials

Conducting multiple retrospective and prospective studies (including a multi-centric RCT) mainly on relapse patterns and role of Radiotherapy in haematological malignancies.

My Journey

Hailing from a small beautiful village in Assam, a passion towards holistic patient care made me step onto the path of being a physician. While doing internship after MBBS, I realised my inner desire to be an Oncologist and thus ended up receiving an MD in Radiation Oncology from the prestigious Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai (India). Suggestion by my mentor during MD to get trained in basic research, and an unique PhD program took me to Japan, where I spent 4 years learning molecular biology and particle therapy. It was then time to come back to my alma-mater and embark on a meaningful journey, where each day brings unique challenges, which I strive to tackle using the blend of my clinical and molecular experience and roles!
